Ukie’s Raise The Game initiative reboots for 2025 & beyond

Raise The Game – which launched the Empower-Up platform alongside games specialist recruitment agency Amiqus – has been refreshed to reflect changes in the industry.

The new positioning has been revealed today (Tuesday March 4th) at Ukie’s Members Day in London. Key to the new vision for the initiative is the launch of the Raise The Game Fund, a financial support system for individuals and organisations working to break barriers in games. It will cover:

  • Grants for training, hiring, and supporting diverse talent.
  • Funding for studios and initiatives that drive EDI progress.
  • A structured application process, ensuring funds are used effectively to make an impact.

In addition, Raise the Game will continue to provide a community platform where industry professionals can connect, share insights and collaborate on best practices, via:

  • In-person and online events tackling key diversity gaps.
  • Monthly industry forums and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • And, of course, the Empower-Up resource hub which offers tools and guidance for companies to improve EDI strategies.

Meanwhile, Raise The Game will also continue to focus on Data & Insights, carrying out the Video Games Industry Census every three years, and compiling reports to inform industry-wide action.
