Empower up celebrates two years of supporting the games industry with EDI guidance & resources

Empower Up, the online EDI platform created by award-winning games recruitment specialist Amiqus and Ukie’s RaiseTheGame, is marking its second-year anniversary.

Over the past two years, Empower Up has continued to provide games studios of all sizes with the practical tools, guidance and resources needed to build and strengthen meaningful, inclusive workplace cultures. From foundational EDI frameworks to actionable advice, the platform supports studios at every stage of their EDI journey.

Building on the same mission that launched the website, Empower Up now offers an even deeper library of resources, including:

  • Intro to EDI guidance, covering Protected Characteristics and under-represented groups
  • The EDI Health Check, helping studios benchmark their progress and identify next steps
  • The EDI Journey, enriched with best-practice insights across workplace culture, recruitment, development, communications, accessibility, outreach and legal requirements
  • A growing Resources hub, featuring case studies, directories, glossaries and industry events

Empower Up’s evolution has been driven by continuous weekly news and guidance updates, ensuring that the platform reflects the latest research, initiatives, legal changes, and conversations shaping EDI within the games sector.

And, as the platform enters its third year, Empower Up has announced the launch of a new monthly newsletter in the New Year. This digest will provide studios and individuals with timely updates, featured resources, upcoming events, and practical advice – all designed to help the industry stay informed, engaged and empowered.

We’re thrilled to introduce our new monthly newsletter as another way to support studios throughout the year.”

Ukie CEO Nick Poole added:
