Your guide to the key EDI & awareness dates in June 2026

June includes a number of important awareness campaigns and observances that focus on inclusion, wellbeing, equality, and personal development. Recognising these dates in the workplace is a valuable way to encourage understanding, celebrate diversity, and support the wellbeing of colleagues across your studio. Here’s a guide to the key diary dates…

Pride Month – Throughout June

Pride Month is celebrated throughout June to recognise and honour LGBTQ+ communities, their contributions to society, and the ongoing journey towards equality and inclusion. The month commemorates the Stonewall Riots of 1969, a pivotal moment in the LGBTQ+ rights movement, and provides an opportunity to celebrate identity, visibility, and progress.

In the workplace, Pride Month offers an opportunity to demonstrate allyship and reinforce inclusive cultures. Studio leaders can support this by sharing educational resources, amplifying LGBTQ+ voices, highlighting role models within the industry, and ensuring policies and practices continue to promote equality. Creating safe spaces for conversation and celebrating diversity helps all employees feel respected and valued.

Social Mobility Awareness Day (June 11)

Social Mobility Awareness Day focuses on creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds to achieve their potential, regardless of their socioeconomic circumstances. The day encourages organisations to examine barriers to progression and consider how they can support greater accessibility and fairness.

For studio leaders, this can be an opportunity to reflect on recruitment practices, career development pathways, mentoring opportunities, and access to industry networks. Promoting social mobility helps organisations attract a broader range of talent and create more equitable workplaces.

Global Wellness Day (June 13)

Global Wellness Day is an international awareness day dedicated to living well and making positive lifestyle choices that support physical, mental, and emotional health. The day encourages individuals to pause, reflect, and consider simple steps they can take to improve their overall wellbeing.

Studios can mark the day by promoting wellbeing initiatives, encouraging healthy habits, and reminding employees of available support resources. Even small activities, such as wellbeing check-ins or opportunities for reflection, can help reinforce a positive workplace culture.

Men’s Health Week (June 15–21)

Men’s Health Week aims to raise awareness of the health challenges faced by men and encourage positive conversations around both physical and mental wellbeing. The campaign highlights issues such as mental health, preventative healthcare, healthy lifestyles, and reducing the stigma that can prevent men from seeking support.

Studios can use Men’s Health Week as an opportunity to promote wellbeing resources, encourage open discussions about mental health, and signpost support services available to employees. Creating an environment where colleagues feel comfortable talking about health can help improve outcomes and foster a culture of care and understanding.
