World Alzheimer’s Month

Throughout September

World Alzheimer’s Month is an annual global awareness campaign held in September to raise understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, which are caused by a range of factors and are not a normal part of aging. The campaign, organised by organisations like the Alzheimer’s Society, aims to combat stigma, educate the public, and encourage action. Key aspects include the annual theme, such as ‘Never Too Early, Never Too Late’ for 2025, and World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21st, offering ways to get involved, such as sharing information on social media using hashtags like #KnowDementia and #KnowAlzheimers, wearing purple, and supporting campaigns for better diagnosis and support.
